No, Maryland is not quite Greece, but you also can't get to Greece for under $300. Now in its 28th year, the Greek Festival in Ocean City, Maryland is the largest annual Greek cultural festival in Delmarva. Held in the Powell Convention Center, the all-ages festival features Greek dancing, music, jewelry vendors, and, of course, cuisine. Opa!

You might not be able to visit Athens for a weekend, but you could still go to Ocean City. The annual Greek festival features authentic Greek dance groups, delicious deserts, great food, and vendors just blocks from the busy Atlantic beaches. So grab some baklava and dance the hasapiko, they're transforming OCMD into Athens!

Included in the package offered by Torque Tours:

  • Round-trip shared shuttle service from Washington, DC to our motel in Ocean City, Maryland
  • Two group breakfasts at Dumser's Dairyland
  • Two nights’ cover into the hottest bars in Ocean City
  • Two days' bus fare in Ocean City
  • Admission into the Greek festival
  • Accommodations at a two-star motel one block from the beach

Simple Itinerary (Subject to change; all activities except shuttle service are optional)

Friday
We will depart Washington from Rhode Island Avenue station at 3:30 pm. Please do not arrive late. We anticipate arriving at our motel around 7:00 pm. After a break for dinner, we will head out to one of Ocean City’s many bayside clubs for a night of drinking and dancing.

Saturday
On Saturday, we will enjoy a group breakfast at a diner across the street from our hotel. After spending a morning on the beach, we will get our bus fare and head down to the Roland E. Powell Convention Center for the annual Greek Festival and lunch. At night, the partiers in the group can spend another night carousing in one of OCMD’s clubs.

Sunday
Early risers can spend one last morning on the beach. Another group breakfast will be included. We will check-out of our hotel at 11:00 am and board the shuttle back to DC. We anticipate arriving back in Washington around 5:00 pm.
